THANK YOU COVID-19

"Now, this is a story all about how my life got flipped-turned upside down. I'd like to take a minute, just sit right there, I'll tell you how" I became owner of Macon Bubbles!! First I would like to thank you for stopping by my website. I am Amanda and the owner/operator of this little business, Macon Bubbles! I am a mom of a 20 year old, wife to the greatest guy alive, 2 furbabies, a yoga teacher, bath bomb maker and a business owner.
I have always enjoyed a good soak in the tub. Lush bath bombs are my favorite. Only thing is the closest one is in Atlanta and I am not a fan of going to Atlanta. The other thing is ordering from them during the hot summer days and products melt. I started to learn to make my own bath bombs. I decided to set up shop in our garage and try my hand at making the perfect bath bomb. SO. MANY. FAILED. ATTEMPTS! But, I kept on until I found the perfect mix! I started making them like crazy, I let my friends and family try them and they loved them. With my office closing temporaily on March 20th due to COVID19 and social distancing, I knew that I needed to start making these in order to help us pay bills. I made a bunch of bath bombs and started selling on Etsy. I sold a few, but not enough as Etsy fees are ridiculous. I reached out to one of our local markets and started selling there. I had great success selling to the public. My husband and I had sat down and discussed me being able to quit my job and focus on this full time. AND... here I am! The owner of this sweet little bath bomb making business. I had my first wholesale order and set up at the studio I teach in, Sparks Yoga! This gave me the courage to ask around to a few other local businesses. My bath bombs can now be found in several stores in the Middle GA area. And this is one of the biggest reasons to shop local and small. A lot of small storefront businesses carry products that are made by other small and local businesses. This chain reaction helps us grow and become successful.
A great bath deserves a great candle. So, I decided to play around with candle making. I found the perfect wax for me and fragrances that I love. I always tell people that I don't make things that don't smell good! The testing process of making candles gets expensive. You have to find the perfect wax for you, the right jars, the right wick size for your jars and make sure that it burns perfectly. The ratio of oil to wax is important too! Too much oil in your candle could cause a fire, too little oil and you won't be able to enjoy the aroma. Once I got all of this down, I started selling these with great success!
Like all businesses, I am always searching for ways to make my company successful. I am always looking for new items to add. Lots of hard work and research goes into making a quality item for your enjoyment. I am beyond grateful for each and everyone's support and patience as I continue my venture to create perfection.
